New Students Interested in the Department of Performing Arts

Welcome new students!  Discover dynamic programs in music, theater, and dance at Georgetown University’s Department of Performing Arts!

Georgetown’s vibrant Department of Performing Arts scene includes the College’s undergraduate degree programs in American Musical Culture and Theater & Performance Studies; a minor in Performing Arts; dozens of academic and co-curricular performing groups in music, theater, and dance; and a wide range of courses including public speaking and Humanities: Arts, Literatures and Cultures (HALC) requirements in the Gen Ed.

If you haven’t already, please fill out this performing arts interest form to connect with us. For those wishing to participate in the New Student Convocation Choir, Orchestra, or Jazz Combos, you must fill out the related information no later than June 8, 2020.

You can also watch this previously recorded GU Department of Performing Arts webinar for admitted students, in which you’ll be introduced to some faculty, staff, and students and learn about the Music, Theater & Performance Studies, and Dance Programs.
