Prof. Maya E. Roth Honored at Lavender Graduation 2016
Congratulations to Department of Performing Arts Chair and Theater & Performance Studies Program Director Prof. Maya E. Roth, recognized at Georgetown University’s 2016 Lavender Graduation for “Faculty Commitment to the LGBTQ Community.” The ceremony was held on Wednesday, April 27, 2016 in the Healey Family Student Center’s Great Room.
The LGBTQ Resource Center and the Tagliabue Initiative for LGBTQ Life host the annual Lavender Graduation ceremony for LGBTQ and Ally undergraduate and graduate students to acknowledge their achievements, contributions, and unique experiences at Georgetown University, including the Main Campus, the Georgetown Law Center, the Medical School, and the School of Continuing Studies.
Roth is the third Theater & Performance Studies Program faculty member to receive the award in the eight years it has been presented; Prof. Susan Lynskey received the honor in 2014, and Prof. Natsu Onoda Power in 2009.
