Our audition process is comprised of THREE parts:

1. REGISTER TO AUDITION!
   Applicants are invited to begin the audition process by filling out this registration form.
   Registration forms open for submission on August 1, 2026 and close on Saturday,
   August, 29 th , 2026 at 11:59pm
2. REQUIRED: GUDC Meet & Greet Session!
   Location of all sessions: Healey Family Student Center Dance Studio A
   All prospective applicants are required to attend ONE of two Meet & Greet sessions
   hosted by current members of the Georgetown University Dance Company. During this
   information session, interested students will have the opportunity to speak to company
   members, ask questions, and learn more about our audition process.
   Please arrange to attend one of the following Meet & Greet Information Sessions:
   Option 1: Wednesday, August 26th, 2026 from 7:15-8:00pm (HFSC Studio A)
   Option 2: Friday, August 28th, 2026 from 3:00-3:45pm (HFSC Studio A)
   Can’t make an information session, but still very interested in joining GUDC? Please
   contact dancecompany@georgetown.edu
   If after attending GUDC’s information session, you are no longer serious about
   joining the company, you may contact us to request a withdrawal of your application.
3. REQUIRED: GUDC AUDITION CLASS!
   Date: Sunday, August 30, 2026 from 1:30-5:30pm.
   Location: Healey Family Student Center (HFSC) Dance Studio A (second floor)

On the morning of the audition class, you will receive an email to your georgetown.edu
email address with your randomly assigned applicant group # and audition time slot.
Applicants are expected to check in 10-20 minutes prior to their audition time slot. Please
note, a brief 15 minute warm up led by a current GUDC dancer will be offered to both
groups of applicants. If you choose not to attend the warm up, please be fully prepared
for the audition.
Applicant Group 1 will audition from 1:30-3:15pm (approx.).
● An optional warm up will be offered to group 1 from 1:10-1:25pm. If you plan to
attend the warm up, please check in starting at 1:00pm.
Applicant Group 2 will audition from 3:30-5:15pm (approx.).
● An optional warm up will be offered to group 2 from 3:10-3:25pm, If you plan to
attend the warm up, please check in starting at 3:00pm.
During the audition, applicants will learn and perform select ballet, jazz, and
contemporary/modern dance exercises and combinations. There are no differences
between groups or audition time slots. Both groups will experience the same content and
have the same opportunity to showcase their dancing.
Please wear ballet slippers or socks, a leotard and tights, or fitted clothing suitable for
dancing for this audition class.
