Black Theatre Ensemble 2019-20 Season

The Black Theatre Ensemble’s season will include a workshop series with Health Education Services developing the groundwork for a devised performance on Black sexuality and health (directed by Fatima Dyfan (COL ’21), community arts events, and signature coffeehouses in venues across campus. Their popular open-mic events provide forums for students of color to express self and share perspective through various art forms– with our notable Chicken and Waffles! Dates and venues TBA.

The Wolves

By Sarah DeLappe
Directed by Jenni Loo (SFS ’21)

Left quad. Right quad. Lunge. A girls indoor soccer team warms up. From the safety of their suburban stretch circle, the team navigates big questions and wages tiny battles with all the vim and vigor of a pack of adolescent warriors. A portrait of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness for nine American girls who just want to score some goals.
