Preacher (and others) – An Oral Roberts-style televangelist from Tulsa, OK; charismatic to the point that people believe he can work miracles. Also portrays various small ensemble roles. 

“Crooner” ensemble track – Portrays various roles including Leroy Evans and a bus driver. Sings a solo piece as the Radio Singer, “Who’ll Be The One (If Not Me)”. 

“Young” ensemble track – Portrays various roles and appears in all ensemble songs. Appears as Billy Dean in a flashback scene with Young Vi and as Virgil in several scenes with the Preacher. Can be played by actors of any identity who are comfortable portraying male-identifying roles.

Grand Courses

Maggie: Age 20-22, black female. Maggie is a smart, neurotic but not uptight college student studying to be a political journalist.  

Mrs. Patterson: Age 55-65, female. Mrs. Patterson is a cold, calculated grandma. She has a kind demeanor but is willing to do whatever it takes to keep her mini golf course in working order.

Ensemble: Female ensemble member of any racial identity. If someone is looking for a small time commitment but wants to get involved with theatre, this is perfect for them!
