Mask & Bauble Dramatic Society
Mask & Bauble Dramatic Society, established in 1852, distinguishes itself as the oldest continuously running college theatre group in the United States. Mask & Bauble (M&B) produces high-quality student theatre using a collaborative process to stage musicals, dramas, comedies, and classics. In the spring, M&B also produces the annual Donn B. Black Theatre Ensemble
Black Theatre Ensemble, established in 1979, is dedicated to producing dramatic works that celebrate and enrich the Black American cultural heritage, and expand and challenge the discourse on the Black experience. Black Theatre Ensemble (BTE) also organizes signature Coffeehouses (featuring all forms of song, dance, poetry, music, and spoken word) and Inside Look Series throughout the year. Nomadic Theatre
Nomadic Theatre, established in 1982, is a co-curricular troupe that provides exciting opportunities both on and off the stage. The Nomads produce plays that educate and challenge all members of the university community through thought-provoking theater. Nomadic’s logo, a caravan of camels, symbolizes the company’s migratory behavior as they perform in a variety of campus spaces throughout the year. Georgetown Improv Association
Georgetown Improv Association is a long-form improvisational troupe offering the Georgetown community unscripted, unrehearsed, and unbelievable improvised comedy since 1995. Improv’s mission is to promote improv as an art form and to provide frequent and affordable performances to the Georgetown community and the greater public of the Washington area. The shows rely on quick wit and active minds, with every scene inspired by an audience suggestion. Troupe alumni have been on Saturday Night Live, Comedy Central, and NPR.
