Concert Choir (voice placement) and Chamber Singers
Concert Choir Voice Placement will take place on:
- August 28- 6:30-8:20pm
- August 29- 12:00-3:45pm
- August 30- 12:00- 3:45pm

Chamber Auditions will take place on:

- Prerequisite for audition: You must complete an initial Voice Placement with Professor Binkholder to sign up for a Chamber Singers audition.
- The Chamber Audition will consist of warm-ups, sight-reading and performance of prepared audition material, If Ye Love Me by Thomas Tallis:

Guild of Bands
- Guild of Bands auditions are by appointment only and will take place in the evenings between August 28-31. Please email Professor David Murray at dm1469@georgetown.edu to schedule a time to audition.
- All interested students should plan to attend the first class at 7pm on Wednesday, August 28. We will try to do the majority of the auditions that evening and answer any questions.
- Auditionees should prepare at least two songs to perform that demonstrate their musical abilities. At least one of the songs should be an original composition.
- Auditions will take place in Studio D, located in the basement of New North. Drums, keyboard, guitar amps, and a small PA are provided; auditionees need to bring any other instruments necessary for their performance.

GU Jazz Ensemble
- Jazz Ensemble meets Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 6:15-8:00 pm
- Jazz Combo meets Tuesday and Thursday from 8:15-9:15 pm. Schedules will be assigned after the audition period.

Jazz Ensemble Auditions: Participants will need to come with their own copy of the audition music. Music will not be provided at the audition.

Percussionists should be prepared to play grooves in a variety of styles, including but not limited to funk, rock, samba, and bossa nova.
Vocalist
Please prepare two contrasting pieces. One of them MUST be “Do Nothing Till You Hear From Me” by Duke Ellington. The second song can be any song you’d like, the choice doesn’t have to be a song in a jazz style. You may bring a CD with an instrumental track or sing a cappella. A track for Do Nothing Till You Hear From Me is provided here.
