In addition to collaborative course offerings, each year the Department of Performing Arts and Davis Performing Arts Center engage deeply with programs and departments across campus.
Examples include the 2013 launch of the Laboratory for Global Performance and Politics with the School of Foreign Service, the Tennessee William, the Children of Abraham: Festival of Interfaith Arts with Program for Jewish Civilization in 2007.

In January 2012, the GU History Department and the Davis Performing Arts Center co-presented the DC premiere of Robin Becker Dance’s “Into Sunlight,” inspired by the book “They Marched Into Sunlight,” a cultural history of war and protest set in 1967 by Washington Post associate editor and Pulitzer Prize winner David Maraniss.
While completing research in the library of the Conservatory of Naples, Italy, Georgetown University Music Program faculty member Anthony R. DelDonna made a serendipitous 2008 discovery of a long-lost oratorio by Neapolitan composer Nicolà Ceva, a musician associated with the Jesuit institutions of the city. Then, through the collaborative efforts of colleagues and students, the work was presented in its first performance since 1705 in December 2009 in Wolfington Hall, the Jesuit residence on GU’s main campus.
In partnership with the Center for Contemporary Arab Studies, the Georgetown University Music Program’s Friday Music Series concerts in spring semester 2018 featured music of countries affected by the travel ban. Palestinian oud player Huda Asfour and Irani daf player Kamyar Arsani performed a program of the region’s rich musical repertoire in February.
