Georgetown University Dance Company (GUDC), GU’s oldest dance organization on campus and pre-professional repertory dance ensemble presents an informal showing of student and professional guest choreographers works from their Fall 2013 semester. This powerful, passionate and diverse informal showing of works ranges in style from classical ballet, contemporary to high energy hip hop works.

BALLET FOLKLÓRICO MEXICANO DE GEORGETOWN

Ballet Folklorico Mexicano de Georgetown’s annual winter showcase is intended to reflect a Mexican posada, a nine-day festive anticipation of Christmas in Mexican culture. This event begins with caroling in the quadrangle outside Dahlgren Chapel, then proceeds into Gaston Hall for a program of traditional dances from four Mexican states. Following the performance, a reception hosted by MEChA de Georgetown (Movimiento Estudiantil Chicana de Aztlán) in the second floor corridor of the Healy Building features delicious and authentic foods.
