Accessible Routes to McNeir Hall

A wheelchair-accessible entrance to the New North Building, which houses McNeir Hall, is located through glass doors next to Old North Building across from the Davis Performing Arts Center.

From Southwest Quad (SWQ) Garage

Designated parking spaces for vehicles with valid state-issued physical disability permits are available in the Southwest (SWQ) Garage, located off Canal Road: View Map

Upon entry to the garage, turn right at the bottom of the entrance ramp. You will be on the P-3 level, and accessible spaces will be immediately on your right. To exit the garage, take the elevator on the near side of the garage up to level 1.  Turn right at the campus map and take another immediate right onto the sidewalk. Continue straight to the intersection at Library Walk (O’Donovan Dining Hall will be on your right) and cross the street diagonally to the left (following the lines in the crosswalk). You will see a sign at Village C for the Department of Public Safety on your right. Take the first entrance, underneath the stairwell beneath the giant concrete arch. From this lobby with vending machines on the right, take the elevator up to level 3 and continue on the ramp straight ahead. At the end of the path, bear right diagonally to where the ramp meets the pavement. Turn left onto the road and follow the road through the tunnel.

After emerging from the tunnel, follow the road to the right. You will see some bushes to your left and to your right. Directly after the bushes on your right, there are three steps. Past these steps and just before the lamppost with a white box on it, there will be a pathway to your right into a small roundabout-like area.

Turn right onto that pathway into the roundabout, and go towards the New North Building, which should now be on your right. You will see a big wall of glass panes. Enter the building through the doors here. After entering the building, take the elevator that is immediately within the doors up to level 1.

When you exit the elevator, take a right and then take another right down the long hallway of offices. Go down the hallway for a while, and immediately after room 125, there will be another elevator. Take this elevator down to level G.
After exiting this elevator, take a right at the end of the short hallway, and you will arrive at McNeir Hall.

From Front Gates (37th St and O St NW)

Head directly into campus between the Healy Building and Copley Hall, to the right of the statue of John Carroll. Follow the pathway that goes past the Davis Performing Arts Center. Across from the Davis Performing Arts Center, there will be, to your left, a light post with a white box on it and a building with a large set of stairs. Directly after this light and these stairs will be a pathway into a roundabout-like area.

Turn left onto that pathway into the roundabout, and go towards the big wall of glass panes. This building is New North. Enter the building through the doors at the bottom of this wall. After entering the building, take the elevator that is immediately within the doors. Go to level 1.
