Location:

Preparation:
Auditioning is pretty simple. All you have to do is prepare a verse and a chorus of any song that showcases your voice (preferably pop, rock, alternative, r&b, or country) and we’ll teach you the rest. Here’s what to expect:

Part 1:
At the beginning of each audition round, everyone will warm up together by singing a couple of scales. Then we’ll ask you to sign up for an individual audition slot for later that day.

Part 2:
Your individual audition will last only about 6 minutes, so don’t sweat it! When you show up, the first thing we’ll ask you to do is sing a scale pattern up and down the piano (don’t worry, we’ll teach it to you!) so we can hear your range and get to know your voice. Next, you’ll sing back a few random notes that we play for you on the piano so we can get a better idea of how you match pitches. Third, you’ll sing your solo – the verse and chorus of the song that you prepared. Finally, we may ask you some general questions to let us get to know you better. Then you’re done!

Lastly, we’d like to emphasize that this term we are specifically looking for vocal percussionists/beatboxers! Please don’t hesitate to show us your skills! Although, all are welcome and encouraged to audition. No prior experience is necessary!
