Salt Water Moon By David French

April 2-4 at 8 pm; April 5 at 2 pm and 8 pm; April 6 at 7 pm
Join Jacob Mercer and Mary Snow on a hot summer night in Coley's Point, Newfoundland. The waves roll gently upon the sand and nothing else moves but a rocker on the porch; however, the peace of this small port town becomes as smothering as the heat for these two characters during the summer of 1926. Coming quickly upon adulthood and yearning for a life that seems as far away as the stars in the sky, Jacob and Mary reunite after a year apart. Both characters must reconcile an unfortunate past that belongs to another generation with their own hopes and dreams of a future together. Nomadic Theatre invites you to enjoy the work of celebrated Canadian author David French, who goes beyond the beautifully depicted setting and distinct time period of the play to explore the time in any young person's life when one takes control of their future, all the while telling an old fashioned love story.
