Arena Stage and Georgetown University will co-host a panel discussion that includes Playwright Emily Mann, Artistic Director of the McCarter Theatre; Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright David Henry Hwang; and Ari Roth, playwright and Artistic Director of Theater J. Arena Stage Senior Dramaturg Mark Bly will serve as moderator.
Reading of Selected Arthur Miller Prose Works

This reading will include selections from Miller's autobiography Time Bends; his 2001 NEH Washington, DC speech "On Politics and the Art of Acting;" his essay "Tragedy and The Common Man;" his Foreword to the Arena Stage 40th Anniversary Book; letters from Miller to Lee J. Cobb and Elia Kazan; and excerpts from Miller's book Salesman in Beijing. Designed to explore Arthur Miller the man - from playwright, to politics, to his personal life, this reading will be directed by Georgetown University Theater Program Director Derek Goldman.
